Failure is not the last thing which happens

My taekwondo school had a breaking day on Saturday. I went into it ready to redeem myself with concrete. You see, on mylast test the concrete beat me. I was determined to win this time. Said a little prayer and everything. Thought of Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ" and then came down on that cement ready to bust through it, hoping I actually would. And then I tried again. And then again. And then my heart broke a little.

The cement won again, but the question remained what would I do now?

A skill learned in a blog class can inspire life change.

For the past two weeks I haven't posted, but I have been working on my blog. I have to say, this class I just finished up helped to create more change on my blog than most of the other classes I have ever taken. I loved the way Daniela formatted the class, and I have no doubt the other classes she has at her "Have Your Cupcake" website are just as good. One day I may find out personally, but I do suggest Blogging on Your Own Terms which she seems to offer quite frequently.

One thing that her class led me into is being aware of how time is spent. She gives you one assignment and only asks for 15 minutes, but there were days I would spend more time getting something done. Having to focus on one step each day allowed me to fully invest there and let the rest go for another time. I didn't worry about how much time was spent, but that my step was done.

What blinds and distracts allows doubts in your heart.

Look! It's a blank page.

That's pretty much what my brain says every time I come to this spot. And all those flowing wonderfully wordy ideas escape quickly out the back before I can grab them up. Instead of being distracted by shiny, apparently I'm distracted by white.

When I see white all the words leave and all the doubts enter.
