I think the key in this verse is: You who bring good tidings. Good tidings should never be held back. We should share them freely. I think we get into trouble when we confuse our opinions with good tidings.
I must admit I struggle with this. I was raised to believe words are fleeting and not worth wasting breath over when your actions are what will be remembered. Well, sometimes speaking up is the action required. It's not the words, but where your heart stands that makes the difference to Him.
Praying I have the courage to shout His name and praise in all circumstance. And my actions are so that my words simply reaffirm who's won my heart. May I ooze His love everywhere I go.
thank you for giving me something to ponder today!
Often. I often struggle with whether something should be said or not... especially in a situation where I'm pretty sure that what I am going to say isn't something that so-and-so wants to hear. Sometimes I say it anyway... Sometimes I chicken out.
Whether you leave your thoughts here, facebook, twitter, or email me, I can not express how much I appreciate you sharing them with me. My miniature attempt: Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Great thoughts. Encouraging for today too!

OH, I agree. Our opinions are not necessarily, if ever, needed. God's Words... Always.
DeleteWhat a wonderful post.

Thank YOU Nikki. What a wonderful reminder that both are important.
