Both of those are really good lessons, but it's the 2nd that's jumping out at me where I am, I think. It's good to learn from the experiences of others, but sometimes I focus on that, and less on the understanding that we are all different, that God has different paths for us all, and our differenet personalities and experiences and whole lot of other stuff can all combine to make our experience in a situation different from someone else's.
