Consider this notice given...

Dear Friends,

I am about to do something that I never thought I would do, and that is take a small break from blogging. I have been at this for a variety of seasons in my life, and I plan to return. I write. It's part of how I process thoughts and ideas. It's part of how I remember life. It's part of how I share things with people.

I actually thought about just keeping up a skeleton blog. Posting 2-3 times a week in order to keep things active. But right now my words are being spent in another area, and I know that if I don't take a break I will simply end up deleting what I do share OR not sharing anything anyway.

I'm thinking I will return around the end of Lent. This wasn't planned, and I normally don't give anything up for this season. I simply don't find it a coincidence that I have come to this decision at this time. Everyone who gives you rules on "How to have a Good Blog" says that I should give you notice when I'll be away for a while. Consider this notice given.

Most of the people who share their days with me here are friends who I am in contact with in other ways, so I don't plan on losing contact with any of you. I simply need to close shop for a time period. So, thank you for your friendships. I will see you around the old familiar haunts.

My daze are still unfinished, so I will see you on the flip side.

  4. Hi Stacey! I came across your blog after I sent out the party invitations. I think it is awesome that you can share your ideas this way. I have a blog for my educational media class which I have to post all of my assignments on, but I had many bad experiences when I was still teaching so I am not a fan of posting publicly. I am taking the class to reinstate my teaching license since I let it expire. Enjoy your time off from blogging! I will get to stop in May!

    1. HOpefully your experience will go better this time. There are definite pros and cons to blogging publically.

Whether you leave your thoughts here, facebook, twitter, or email me, I can not express how much I appreciate you sharing them with me. My miniature attempt: Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
