The moonlight came through
without even bothering to knock
The moon was huge and overpowering
it wouldn't be denied or dismissed
But somethings in life are more obscure
point of view
perspective
context
attitude
We can see our own
but seeing another
is like hunting for snipe
trying to catch a tornado
watching water boil
Clap three times
Turn in a circle
Tap your Heels
There's no place like home.
There's no magical word.
There's no potion or spell.
It's a choice.
The sun rose in the morning
visible and making life visible
the moon showed itself
the sun showed everything else
The chapter this week was about thinking well. It gave a 5 step process to solving problems. I didn't like the list because I know my limitations, but that doesn't mean I can't work on being better. Too often I am the moon, sure of myself and what I am doing with no concern for others. I want to be more like the sun, and shine light everywhere. I want to see others. I know that there is no magical formula, superb checklist, or order of steps that will make everything go smoothly. I want to know that each situation is it's own, with it's own outside forces, ebbs and flows, personalities and baggage. I want to face each problem not as a solution to be found, but as life to be lived.
Maybe it's all semantics, I'll give you that.
But sometimes what we are looking for is exactly what we will find.
