Baby Blanket for BBLG

Yesterday my sister's friends threw her a baby shower. It was fantastic. They did such a great job. It was fun, there was laughter, good food, and lots of presents. I made the above blanket for my sister. Well, for the little one to come, I guess. I really liked the "ribbon trim" that I added for the edging. I have always liked that look, as seen on the Tiramisu Blanket, but I also knew that a mommy would not necessarily be rethreading the ribbon after the blanket needed to be washed. OR the blanket would never be used out of fear regarding the ribbon. So, with some fbdc and some hdc I created what I felt looks like a ribbon threaded through the edge of the blanket.

If you want to recreate this look, the following is what I did:
Around the blanket on the right side::
1 - round of sc
2 - round of dc
3 - round of hdc in “ribbon” color
4 - round of sc, sc, fpdc
5 - round of hdc
in each corner place 3 stitches
in round 4 place 3 sc in the corner
